The Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development, Thoko Didiza has led an information-sharing session for the agricultural sector focused on the Africa Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) in Pretoria.
The Agricultural Business Chamber of SA, Agbiz, says the event served as preparation for the upcoming 20th AGOA Forum in Johannesburg on Thursday.
The session was attended by key players in the agricultural sector, including farmers, agribusinesses, traders, and food processors.
Agbiz says its primary objective was to emphasize the significance of AGOA as a gateway to access the US market for the local agricultural sector.
Role players presented valuable opportunities for South African producers interested in exporting agricultural products to the US market.
