NAMPO cancelled for a second year due to pandemic

The iconic Nampo Harvest day which was scheduled to take place in Bothaville in the Free State in August has been cancelled.

NAMPO is the biggest agricultural tradeshow in the Southern Hemisphere attracting over 750 exhibitors.

Grain SA CEO Jannie de Villiers says cancelling the show was not an easy decision to make.

He says the arrival of the 3rd Covid-19 wave, and the amendments to the lockdown level under the National State of Disaster has left them with no other choice.

This is the second year in a row that NAMPO is cancelled because of the pandemic.
