    A B.Comm student at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University made a brief court appearance yesterday in connection with the death of a fellow student at the weekend. The case against Siphelo Mantyi was postoned to Wednesday 17 February for a formal bail application. He was arrested early on Sunday morning in connection with the death of fellow student, 24 year old Khaya Mtonga, who was stabbed to death in the Unitas men's hostel, apparently after an argument. Speaking to us on the Morning Show on Algoa FM earlier today (Tuesday 16 February), NMMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Derek Swartz, said the birth of democracy in South Africa may have brought with it a new constitution, but unfortunately very little emphasis on responsibility …
