Body of young woman found near Mossel Bay Point

The body of a young woman has been recovered from the sea at Mossel Bay.

The National Sea Rescue Institute said eye-witnesses reported seeing a body floating in the water at the Point on Monday afternoon.

Spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, said several police units also participated in the recovery of the body, believed to be that of a teenager.

Police have opened an inquest docket.
