Algoa Bus Company has announced that it's service will be suspended from midnight tonight when a nation-wide strike is expected to commence.
In a brief statement issued on Tuesday, Algoa Bus CEO, Sicelo Duze, said that wage negotiations at the SA Road Passenger Bargaining Council are in deadlock with Labour issuing a strike notice.
He says employers had offered workers a seven percent wage increase which was rejected as unions want twelve percent.
The Metal workers union Numsa and the SA Transport and Allied Workers Union, announced that the country-wide strike on Wednesday.
